The research opportunity will involve a combination of empirical investigations, computational/mathematical cognitive modeling, and theory development in the service of improving our understanding of human cognitive processes, the development of synthetic teammates, and integrating models of physiology with formal models of cognition. Advances in these areas will be leveraged to improve the development and integration of airman systems to improve performance, reduce workload, and facilitate training/instruction.
