Modeling the global solar magnetic field is critical for forecasting space weather. Individuals interested in working with solar input data (e.g., ground-based & space-based magnetograms) used to drive solar wind models are encouraged to apply for this opportunity. The project involves working with a variety of ground and space based solar disk observations, as well as in-situ data from multiple spacecraft, to better understand and model the heliosphere and the geospace environment.
