Description
Develop novel optical method to reliably measure the thermodynamic properties of nanoscale samples at speeds orders of magnitude faster than currently possible.
Thermodynamic measurements made using an all-optical approach would be critical in evaluating trace quantities of highly purified nanomaterials, detecting high speed transitions and in developing the ability to quickly screen combinatorial material libraries based on quantitative thermodynamic properties.
