Ocean Analysis and Prediction
Naval Postgraduate School, Earth and Atmospheric Science
Observational and numerical studies continue on ocean analysis and prediction with various scales. Current interests include (1) optimal spectral decompostion (OSD) on ocean data analysis; (2) dynamics and thermodynamics of air-sea interfacial exchange processes; (3) ocean heat content and its impact on climate change; (4) thermodynamic feedback in tropics among radiation, clouds, precipitation, and ocean mixed layer and (5) coupled atmosphere-ocean modeling, and (6) model predictability.
Experience Supplement
Postdoctoral and Senior awardees will receive an appropriately higher stipend based on the number of years of experience past their PhD.
Awardees who reside more than 50 miles from their host laboratory and remain on tenure for at least six months are eligible for paid relocation to within the vicinity of their host laboratory.
A group health insurance program is available to awardees and their qualifying dependents in the United States.
