Description

This position is for an historian familiar and experienced with advanced research and writing topics in science and technology. Individual will assist the US Air Force Research Laboratory Historian's Office and Office of the Deputy Technology Executive Officer (DTEO) for Space Science and Technology for the US Space Force in research and writing projects related to current and previous AFRL programs stretching back to 1945 for use by AFRL, USSF, DAF, and DoD leadership. Ability and experience utilizing primary and secondary source material for scientific and technology writing for both professional and public audiences required. Ideal candidate will have several relevant examples of science writing to share, preferably with a military/space science and technology R&D emphasis.

Stipend

Base Stipend Travel Allotment Supplementation
$95,000.00 $5,000.00

Experience Supplement:
Postdoctoral and Senior Associates will receive an appropriately higher stipend based on the number of years of experience past their PhD.
