Description

The 711th Human Performance Wing (HPW) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to advance human performance in air, space, and cyberspace through research within the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine's Applied Technology and Genomics Laboratory. If you're interested in public health, infectious disease, epidemiology, and surveillance, this opportunity allows you to leverage your bioinformatics skills to directly impact the health and safety of our warfighters. You'll gain hands-on experience in bioinformatics, high-performance computing, and various computational languages, developing expertise in database cleaning, data analysis, pipeline development, data visualization, and results interpretation. A key component of the fellowship will be the development of techniques to communicate data and findings to decision-makers, other researchers, and the public.  This fellowship offers a chance to innovate through advanced analytics like AI/ML, engage with the broader biotechnology community at AFRL and beyond, and provide valuable insights to enhance warfighter performance.
