This research opportunity focuses on the development of new quantum information platforms and the exploration of related fundamental physics in support of the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate's quantum networking and computing missions. Prospective associates will have opportunities to work on cutting edge experiments at the nexus of superconducting quantum computing, atomic physics, and quantum optics. Specific projects could include work to develop architectures for interfacing superconducting devices, ion-trap systems, and integrated photonic circuitry; and development of microwave-optical quantum transduction techniques. Associates will join a highly-motivated and talented team of researchers; acquire a panoply of quantum engineering skills; as well as explore challenging problems in fundamental aspects of quantum information science.
Quantum information science; superconducting systems; quantum interfaces; quantum transduction
Open to U.S. citizens
Open to Postdoctoral and Senior applicants
$3,000 Supplement for Doctorates in Engineering & Computer Science
Postdoctoral and Senior Associates will receive an appropriately higher stipend based on the number of years of experience past their PhD.
