Traditional electronics (DC through GHz) operate based on statically fixed materials that are not typically expected to flex, stretch, or move. All of these actions typically result in undesirable effects on the electronic functionality. We are interested in studying novel materials systems that will usher in new paradigms in agile and flexible electronics, utilizing such materials as electronic fluids and stretchable/foldable conductors. This opportunity focuses on exploring the fundamental understanding of these materials and the unique processing conditions they may require that will enable next generation robust electronics and adaptable functionality.

$3,000 Supplement for Doctorates in Engineering & Computer Science

Experience Supplement:
Postdoctoral and Senior Associates will receive an appropriately higher stipend based on the number of years of experience past their PhD.
