Description
We are investigating methods of creating new quantum states of light such as Schrodinger cat states, NOON states, and Fock states. These new states have a variety of applications, including linear optical quantum computing, quantum metrology (e.g., Heisenberg limited interferometry), and fundamental physics (loop-hole free Bell measurements). We are particularly interested in utilizing our high quantum efficiency photon number resolving detectors to enable creation of these states. Our group includes both experimentalists and theorists. We invite proposals to further develop and utilize quantum states of light.
