Description

Research focuses on the development and application of advanced multi-detector separation science techniques. Topics include characterizing the phase space inhabited by complex macromolecules and blends, nano/microplastics, nanoparticles, and carbohydrates. This will be done primarily using size-based separation methods such as SEC, AF4, and HF5, in conjunction with interaction polymer chromatography techniques such as i-GPEC and LCCC, coupled to a variety of on-line detection methods, including MALS, QELS, VISC, ICP-MS, Raman, etc. Exploring the fundamentals of the separation and detection methods is also part of this opportunity.
