Description
Our group focuses on quantum information, measurement, and parametric coupling, at low temperatures with superconducting circuits. Our work specifically focuses on the use of parametric techniques for manipulating quantum information in novel ways, including the transfer, amplification, and tomography of quantum states of electromagnetic and electromechanical systems. We are seeking applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds including, but not limited to, quantum optics, microwave engineering, analog and digital electronics, digital communication, and microfabrication. Current opportunities include the study/design of novel quantum-limited microwave amplifiers, quantum state synthesis, and quantum state transduction. These efforts are tightly integrated in joint experiments with Ray Simmonds and John Teufel, with an overall emphasis on basic science as well as applications to current worldwide quantum computing efforts.
