Description

The NIST Dimensional Metrology Group has research opportunities available to advance the field of dimensional metrology for length scales from micrometers to kilometers. Researchers will have access to state-of-the-art instruments and environmentally controlled facilities for accurate measurement of 1-D and 2-D length, diameter, flatness, straightness, roundness, complex form, angle, and laser frequency. We are interested in efforts that develop new measurement capabilities, standards, or applications or improve existing methods for reference artifact calibration.
