Description

The Quantum Science and Technology Section at the Naval Research Laboratory has postdoctoral research positions available in several areas of solid state quantum science. Research topics include single and entangled photon sources, magnetic field sensing, quantum networking, frequency conversion, coherent control of matter qubits, integrated photonics and optoelectronics, neuromorphic computing, and fundamental spectroscopy and quantum optics of new material systems. The material  systems of current interest to our group include defect spin qubits in silicon carbide and silicon, III-V semiconductor quantum dots and heterostructures, and 2D layered materials.  Applicants should have demonstrated laboratory experience and a record of publication in one or more of these or closely related areas, and must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident (green card).
