Description

The modification of the polymers properties by the addition of filler particles has been proven to be  an extremely viable method to improve the physical properties of macromolecules . The addition of bio-fillers to polymers offer new exiciting opportunities for the synthesis of composites with new properties controlled by the filler functionalities and morphologies.

The synthesis of bio polymers composites and characterization of their properties (mechanical, electrical, thermal) has a function of their composition and morphology is pusued using a combination of characterization techniques  both at the macroscale and at the nanoscale. This investigation aim at the the development of materials with novel properties starting from bio synthesized building blocks.
