Energy Storage Materials
Naval Research Laboratory, DC, Chemistry
We have programs within the Chemistry Division at the Naval Research Laboratory: “Electrical Energy Storage Electrode Materials Based on Metal-Organic Frameworks” and “Leveraging Nanoscale Phenomena for 3D all Solid-State Batteries”. These collaborative programs involve materials synthesis, the preparation and full characterization of electrodes and zinc battery materials. Magnetic resonance methods ranging from high resolution magic angle spinning to in situ imaging will play a major role in this program and are expected to be a focus of the post-doctoral researcher.
Awardees who reside more than 50 miles from their host laboratory and remain on tenure for at least six months are eligible for paid relocation to within the vicinity of their host laboratory.
A group health insurance program is available to awardees and their qualifying dependents in the United States.
