Description
We are currently pursuing novel vaccine strategies against Yersinia pestis (etiologic agent of plague). These will include subunit vaccines, live vaccine strategies, and passive protection studies. The ultimate goal is to identify epitopes that are protective against both bubonic and pneumonic plague. Additionally, we hope to better understand the aspects of a lasting protective immune response.
