Research activities involve laboratory studies of processes important to tropospheric and stratospheric chemistry, air quality, and climate change. Laboratory-based projects include studies of reaction rate coefficients, reaction mechanisms, absorption cross sections, and photolysis and reaction product yields. Studies utilize a variety of experimental techniques including but not limited to pulsed laser photolysis, cavity ring-down spectroscopy, diode array spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and Fourier transform spectroscopy.
