Description
We are working on creating neuromorphic computing integrated circuits using post-silicon devices, e.g., memristor and spintronic devices, to accelerate the execution of neural networks and other types of cognitive computing models. Research opportunities include, but are not limited to, new circuit designs to utilize unique properties of the merging devices to process and store the data, new computing models that can benefit from the emerging devices for enhanced efficiency and robustness, and new computing architectures that integrate the innovations from both circuit/device and algorithm levels. In addition, applications of new semiconductor manufacturing technologies such as 3D integration in neuromorphic computing will also be investigated.
