Description

Research focuses many aspects of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) including: measurement uncertainty for novel multiparametric techniques; exploring fundamental physics of quantitative MRI methods; and developing qMRI measurement methods across a range of field strengths.

We have a 65 mT Hyperfine point-of-care MRI system; a small-bore system operating at 3 T; and relationships with clinical MRI centers operating at 1.5 T and 3 T. NMR facilties include two field-rampable systems covering 0.5 T to 7 T and 6.5 mT to 30 mT.

The following areas are of interest:

(1) Basic NMR properties (T1, T2, geometric distortion);

(2) Multiparametric techniques (e.g., MR Fingerprinting);

(3) Quantitative imaging of the brain at low magnetic fields;

(4) Diffusion measurement validation;

(5) Incorporation and validation of machine learning methods.
