Description
Quantum measurement is transforming telecommunication in multiple ways. On one hand, quantum internet is being pursued. On the other, current limitations of classical communication are being surpassed. Yet another issue considered is coexistence of classical and quantum channels in the same physical fiber. In our effort, we use NIST’s extensive experience in quantum information science, quantum measurement science and single-photon detector expertise to experimentally implement quantum-enabled classical and quantum optical communication links.
