NIST only participates in the February and August reviews.
The NIST Greenhouse Gas Measurements Program is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to study sources and sinks of greenhouse gases (GHG) in urban areas. Opportunities are available to advance the measurement and modeling of greenhouse gas emissions in the NIST Urban Testbeds. Possible projects include:
· Advanced modeling of high-accuracy in-situ carbon dioxide and methane observations,
· Multi-species analyses incorporating other in-situ, flask-based, or aircraft data sets,
· Analysis and modeling of publicly available spaceborne GHG or air quality observations (e.g., from TROPOMI or OCO-3), or
· Development of calibration methods for commercially available carbon dioxide, methane, and/or ethane sensors.
We are interested in efforts that develop new or improved measurement capabilities, models, or applications, including analyses that combine different types of observational data sets to understand urban GHG emissions.
