Description
1. A research opportunity is available for individuals interested in working on programs to both develop and characterize animal models, and perform countermeasure (vaccine and therapeutic) testing and evaluation for BSL-3 (Orthopoxviruses) and BSL-4 (Filoviruses, Henipaviruses) viruses. The research will focus on pathogenesis of the disease, mechanisms of action of therapeutics, and vaccine correlates of immunity. The candidate would be involved in all activities associated with a project in a containment laboratory, including animal manipulations, assay development, bench work and study documentation.
